It's Always Sunny in Philadeplhia / The League premiere

A few days ago did the League/It's Always Sunny in Philadeplhia premiere. Truth be told, I've never seen either show so I really had no vested interest in either. I've heard It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a very funny show but I don't even know what channel FX is on my Directv!

So I headed down to the premiere and it was DEAD. Just a handful of us ended up showing up and it was nice. Low key is always my favorite. The set up looked pretty easy but I had heard horror stories about the League cast.

First up was Stephen Rannazzisi from the League and low and behold, he was actually pretty cool. He came over and started off our three cast shots.

Paul Sheer, from the League, followed next and came over and signed. In my experience Paul is always very nice. Tonight was no different.

Kaitlin Olson was next up and was probably the friendliest out of everyone. She signed and interacted with us like she genuinely was happy to be signing.

Nick Kroll from the League was up next. I've heard he's not very friendly at all but this time he came over. Albeit, he did take an underhand swipe at everyone with a comment. A friend of mine quickly commented back putting Nick in his place and Nick looked like a deer in headlights. Nick's mood quickly changed and he was friendly from that point on.

After came Glen Howerton from IAS (It's Always Sunny, let's simplify things) and he was very nice. Added him to three IAS cast items. While Glen was signing, Rob McElhenney came over and signed as well.

From this point, the remaining cast members of the League decided to completely ignore us. Mind you, there was no obstacles in their way and time was on our side. They just did not want to sign. Thankfully, Charlie Day, who I was actually excited to see, didn't feel the same. Charlie came over and smiled and signed and was friendly. Since Danny Devito didn't show up, this was the highlight of my night.

Once arrivals were over I decided to pack it in. Sure, I could have stuck around and maybe finished the League cast shots but who knew if that would even happen! I was more than content with what I left with.

Passing through the theater to get to my car, I spotted Isla Fisher & Sasha Baron Cohen going into a movie. Isla stopped and took a picture. I asked Sasha and he explained he doesn't like to take pictures out of character but he shook my hand and was very friendly. Pleasant little surprise.

The Walking Dead premiere

One day removed from Gale Anne Hurd's star ceremony was the Walking Dead Premiere. Nobody knew what the set up would be like or even if it would be accessible but in the end everything worked out. We had gotten most of our stuff done the previous day so on this day we would start some new items.

Once the event started things moved along quickly! First up, Melissa McBride. We added her to some cast items and an 11x14 which we later completed with Norman Reedus. When she saw the 11x14 Melissa commented "aww, Sophia".

A few steps behind Melissa was Gale Anne Hurd. We added her to some cast pieces and Edwin took a photo with her.

Next up, T-Dogg! Iron-e Singleton was a machine. This guy made his way down the line cranking out autographs left and right. He seemed very into the fans. We added him to cast items and got him on an 8x10.

Next up was Michael Rooker. We actually missed out on Michael Rooker because Iron-e was signing in front of us. Bummer.
Right behind Rooker was Andrew Lincoln. Andrew made his way down the rail signing and stopping to say hi to fellow cast members and friends. He was just as friendly as the day before. Too bad we don't get to see him more often.

Laurie Holden was up next. We added her to cast signed items.

Next up, David Morrisey! I am REALLY looking forward to seeing how they portray this character on the show. Morrisey was very nice and signed a few items for us and even threw "The Govenor" on a few of them. We also took pictures with him.

Emily Kinney followed The Governor. She was very nice. We added her to our cast items.

Danai Guirra was after and she was as nice as I've seen her. She isn't overly interactive with the fans but she did sign a good amount and took her time.

Robert Kirkman was up next. He did his normal thing and signed up a storm. No sketches, though. We got a solo 12x18 and added him to cast pieces that needed him.

After Robert came the second person I was most looking forward to getting next to The Govenor...Scott Wilson aka Hershel! Scott signed a few cast items for us and took pictures with us.

While all this was going on, Sarah Wayne Callies had arrived and said she would do the carpet and comeback. True to her word, she did. We added her to cast items and an 8x10.

Last but not least was Lauren Cohan. Laren was nice as always. We were able to add her to a couple items.

Here are the cast items we worked on throughout the premiere.

Finally, the Walking Dead Social Network style poster. This came out really good! Sarah got a kick out of it when she read what it said.

Gale Anne Hurd Walk of Fame cermoney - Walking Dead cast & James Cameron

Gale Anne Hurd has been a part of some big time action movies. From the Terminator series to Aliens and now the Walking Dead TV series.  A few ago she was honored with a star on the walk of fame. As much as I enjoy her movies I went for two other reasons...the cast of the Walking Dead and James Cameron.

Truthfully, Cameron isn't a very friendly guy so I wasn't expecting him to sign. If I left with Walking Dead signed items I'd be happy. I left happy. However, James Cameron played a part in that.

To start things off Greg Nicotero arrived pretty early. Greg came over and signed and I got him to do a lil something extra on my image.

The star kicked off and thanks to Cuntacahooa (Long story. The name isn't as vulgar as it sounds, I promise!) I was positioned 2 feet away from the majority of the cast. The prospects were promising!

The ceremony started and I've got to say, I REALLY enjoyed Andrew Lincoln's speech. He was very charming and personable. After Lincoln spoke James Cameron approached the podium. During Cameron's speech he referenced a scene in Aliens where Vasquez shoots an alien in the head and how that was in fact, Gale Anne Hurd. Well, I happened to have that image with me for her to sign.

After Cameron's speech Gale went up to speak. During her speech the aformentioned Cuntacachooa took my image out of my bag and held it so she could see it. Low and behold, during her speech, she saw it...stopped and pointed and said "That's the picture of me in Aliens!" or something close to that. The entire cast of walking dead and everyone else in attendance turned and looked at us. She gave us props for having the photo and finished her speech.

When all that was said and done the cast stood up to applaud and I saw a sticker on Scott Wilson's pants revealing his pant size. I let him know it was there and he gave me dap and said "Good lookin' out" and then signed a few items for me. At this point, chaos broke out. Andrew Lincoln was directly in front of me signing. Danai Guirra was to my left signing. Norman Reedus and Robert Kirkman were to my right signing. I couldn't keep up.

At one point what was once Norman Reedus and Robert Kirkman became Sarah Wayne Callies...then David Morrisey. It's all still a blur! During this, James Cameron was talking to someone in front. As things settled down a little we asked him to sign and he reached out and signed an 11x14 for me and a few others for friends. He then walked over and began to sign more directly in front of me. I let him know that the Aliens image was underneath and he looked for it and signed it and seemed happy to see it. He then asked me if it was okay if he could take it to Gale since I needed her on it. Then they posed for photos at the star with it!

It was a pretty great memory. Cameron brought it back to me. At this point I finished getting a few more Walking Dead items and called it a day. All in all, a memorable one.

Here is what we got signed.

Someone of these signatures were obtained the next day (blog to come!)

Signed by Greg Nicotero, Sarah Wayne Callies, Andrew Lincoln, Scott Wilson, Norman Reedus and Iron-e Singleton.

Signed by Andrew Lincoln, Danai Guirra and David Morrisey.

Also, autos on this item were obtained the next day.
